Help children thrive in school

Education unlocks opportunities

Support our work in education

Give children a chance to write their own future.

Children are being robbed of their right to an education.

All children have the right to a high-quality education, but there are millions of girls and boys who don't complete a full course of primary school. Will you help give children a chance to write their their own future?

Ways your gift will make a difference:

  • helping to build more schools, classrooms, and sometimes dorms, to accommodate the enrolment of more students.
  • helping to provide school supplies like books and uniforms and help with school fees so children have the resources to stay in school and complete their education.
  • helping ChildFund support teachers and the co-development of effective curriculum.

Rachel's right to an education was almost robbed.
Now she's following her dreams to become a teacher.

BACKGROUND

Education has the greatest potential to take a child and their family out of poverty and into a bright and prosperous future.

But right now, there are millions of children around the world who don't get a chance to complete their schooling.

From lack of access, especially in rural areas, to the quality of education delivered in schools, there are many barriers that prevent children from gaining proficiency in basic skills like reading and doing math.

While we know the barriers around accessing education are many and complex, we also know that when given the safe space and opportunity to learn, educated children have the chance to change their communities and have a brighter future.

The things that educated children will go on to achieve and accomplish won't just be for themselves. Their achievements will create a positive ripple for their family and their community.

RACHEL's STORY

"I look up to my teacher because she gives me knowledge.
I want to do the same one day."

In Rachel's community, many young girls are being married off before they complete their education. The practice of early marriage is harmful and Rachel's family have seen this first-hand.

Knowing it wasn't right, Rachel's mum was determined to see a different outcome. She understood the importance of education and with that determination, Rachel was enrolled at a ChildFund supported school where she has the space to continue her education.

Rachel is smart and dreams of being a teacher one day.

The things Rachel will achieve and accomplish won’t just be for herself. Her achievements will create a ripple of positive change for her family, her community, and the children she will one day educate.
